Linking to iTunes U content

Every page, collection, and item in your site has a unique URL, making it easy for you to create links on webpages or social media sites to the requested page, collection, or item.

To obtain the URL for a specific page, collection, or item:

1. Navigate to the specific page, collection, or item you want.

2. Do one of the following:

   • For a page or collection, drag the page title link into a text file.

   • For an item, click the pop-up menu next to the Free, Subscribe or Get All button in the collection page, choose Copy Link from the shortcut menu, and paste the URL into a text file.

     You can also choose Share On Facebook or Share on Twitter to share your content through Facebook and Twitter.

   This is the URL you use to generate a link from on your webpage or social media site. You can use the link to direct users to content within your iTunes U Public Site Manager site.

The collection and item URLs link to an iTunes Preview collection page in a web browser. To display the collection page in iTunes, click “View in iTunes” below the collection artwork. To display and highlight the item in iTunes, click "View in iTunes" next to the specific item in the iTunes Preview page.

Notes:

• You can drag any segment from a page path or any link in iTunes U to your desktop to create a quicklink.

• To obtain your site URL, drag the element of the page path containing your institution’s name into your open text file.
